🔧 Detailed changes
**Improved melee combat gray**
All war grays have been adjusted to fit the overall mod. They are now faster, can be canceled earlier, and have added properties like block frames or invincibility frames
**Reworked parry system**
- The effective frame window for all parries now exactly matches the parry animation
- All parries have faster startup times
- Most parry startup frames adjusted to 3 frames, only Buckler to 4 frames
- Although the buckler has 1 more frame to start, the effective frame window is longer (7 frames vs. 6 frames for other parries)
💡 **TIP**: You may need to relearn the timing, but once you master it, you'll find parrying easier to execute and more useful
**Crossbow Overhaul**
Although this mod focuses on melee weapons, the feel of the crossbow was really poor and has been adjusted. They now have the same early cancellation properties as other weapons
**New invincible frame**
- **Step back and crouch animations** now have invincibility frames
- Crouch animation can now be used to dodge attacks
- The step back animation will also provide a short period of invincibility
**Quick cancellation mechanism**
- **Step back and crouch animation** can now be quickly canceled
- You can perform forward attacks and rolling attacks directly from the static state
**Dagger Throwing Cancel Technique**
- Attack and dash animations can now be canceled with throwing daggers
- Inspired by Ninja Gaiden 2
- The animation speed of throwing daggers has been greatly improved, and the cancellation time is earlier.
**Early Attack Cancellation**
Almost all attack animations (for modified weapons) can be canceled into other actions immediately after a valid hit frame
**Feint attack**
- Use dodge cancel to **Feint Charge R2 Attack**
- Cancel any attack during the charging animation
- Dodge the starting action of canceling the attack
**Quick weapon switching**
Now you can switch weapons as quickly as pressing the weapon switch button
**Animation acceleration**
Some attack animations have been accelerated, most notably:
- stabbing sword
- Curved sword
- Dagger
- Katana
- small ax
- whip

🔄 Merge with other modules
Merging possibilities vary by mod:
- Some mods are easy to merge, just re …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
