  • 🖼️ Only video output corrected to support full dynamic range (0-255) color
  • 🎯 Does not change contrast, saturation or original color palette

🔧 Technical background

**What is dynamic range? **

In standard 8-bit color, each color channel (red, green, blue) has 256 values (from the darkest 0 to the lightest 255), which combined can produce 16.77 million colors! This is the **Full Dynamic Range** used by PC monitors.

However, due to historical reasons, TVs use a limited dynamic range of only 220 values (16-235) and can only display 10.64 million colors. When console games are ported to PC, if developers don't adapt to the dynamic range, we will lose more than a third of the color! 😱

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
