Auto Mod Merger
✨ **Automatic Module Merger** is a supporting tool of mountlover's DSMSPortable. It can generate a .bat file, allowing DSMSP to merge a specified set of module source files into the output regulation.bin in a user-defined order, making merging "Elden Ring" modules easier!
---
🚨 Important reminder
⚠️ **Please note: AMM cannot merge action modules beyond .TAE files** - such as SYYYKE's, CLEVER's, CIARAN COMBO WARRIOR, etc. My personal solution is to use the action mod pack as a base, and then use AMM to merge the source CSV/TAE/MASSEDIT/FMG files from other mods into it!
🔒 **Make sure to back up your save files** and either play with the ModEngine using seamless co-op (even solo) or just play offline! Using any mods on an original save and ending up online may risk a ban!

📁 Compatible file types

🔧 Converted to AMM compatible mod (1.08.1)
These are mods that I or others have tweaked that can easily be added to AMM's load order:
- Summon Brad as Soul Ash - Xarrant
- Unlock Soul Ashes - yakuzadeso
- Bonus item grant (Finger of Wisdom of the Faded One) - Edit the Massedit script to change the items you get! - CornflakeRush
- Big Businessman (simplified version) - Vawser, Xylosi, Max1021

🎯 How to use
- **Collect source files**: Collect the .csv.massedit.tae source files of the mods you want to merge, making sure to put the different mods in separate folders
- **Download necessary tools**:
- Download DSMSPortable and automatic module combiner
- Make sure Visual C++ Redistributable and .NET runtime environment are installed
- **Set path**:
- Provide the full path to DSMSPortable.exe and your ELDEN RING/Game folder on the right
- Provide the output folder path of the merged module in the lower left corner
- **Create loading sequence**:
- In the "Mod Folder to Load" section, click Browse to select the folder where the module source files are located.
- Click "Add to load order" to add a new mod folder entry
- Put the most important mods at the bottom of the load order for priority
- **Execute merge**:
- Check "Start Over" to ensure a clean merge every time
- Click "Start Merge"
- Drag and drop the generated .bat file into the command prompt window to run
- **Install the module**:
- Copy the merged contents to the "mod" folder in the ModEngine2 directory
- Run "launchmod_eldenring.bat" to launch the game

❗ FAQ
**"Wrong number of CSV values"**
- This is usually because the CSV was exported from Yapped and is missing some properties required for DSMS import
- The best solution is to use DSMapStudio to get the full array of headers and default values, adding these extra parameter properties manually
**"Unable to parse data type"**
- If DSMS still returns this error after fixing the above issue, it is likely that the CSV header format was designed for Yapped
- AMM can attempt to convert these titles automatically, but manual fixes may still be required

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
