Toggle Helmet Visibility
⚠️ **IMPORTANT NOTICE**: This mod has been replaced by tomclark's armor transmog mod, please use this mod instead. The new module is easier to install and use, has richer functions, and does not need to be combined with other modules.
---
🎭 Main functions
- **Helmet Switch**: Add an item that can switch to display or hide the equipped helmet, while retaining the helmet's attributes and bonus effects.
- **Armor Transmogrification**: Contains a proof-of-concept item that changes the appearance of body, arm and leg armor to a commoner suit
- **Permanent Effect**: Toggle effects remain active across loading screens or death
🛠️ How to use
Craft these two items in the crafting menu and they will appear at the very bottom of your inventory, below the multiplayer items.
⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING
🚫 **Use of this mod in regular online mode is prohibited! **
- This mod will add new items to the game, which will be detected by the game server and anti-cheat system and result in a ban.
- If you want to play online, please use a separate save file or delete all traces of this mod before proceeding.
- Fully compatible with seamless co-op mode as it uses a separate archive system
🔧 Compatibility
**Partially compatible with seamless co-op mode:**
- After passing any loading screen, only the host's armor toggle is visible to all players
- The rogue can still see his own armor switch, but other players need to switch again to see it.
**Incompatible Mods:**
- Module that replaces "regulation.bin", "item.msgbnd.dcx" or "menu.msgbnd.dcx" (unless merged)
- Mod that changes white and blue password ring SpEffects
🐛 Known issues
**Cutscene:**
- During cutscenes, helmets/armor revert to actual worn equipment
- Only during cutscenes, no need to switch again
**Usage restrictions:**
- Switch items may not be available after the cutscene where Forge of Giants teleports to Fam Azra and after defeating the Beast of Elden
- In seamless co-op, rogues may not be able to use switch items after watching certain cutscenes
**Armor display issue:**
- Certain armors (such as the Lionel suit) may display incorrectly under certain conditions
🎨 Custom Armor Set
**Basic settings:**
- Navigate to SpEffectVfxParam at line 869500 (helmet) or 869501 (body)
- Find the desired armor ID in EquipParamProtector
- Change transformProtectorId to the first ID of the desired suit
**Advanced Customization:**
- New in version 1.10: Custom sets can be replaced with existing armor parts
- Custom models can also be used as transmog sets

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
