Balanced Gameplay: No leveling up, no weapon or summon upgrades
Play Elden's Circle in a balanced way without having to worry about character builds and just use any item you find. A large number of RPG elements have been removed, focusing on concise combat, significantly shortening the clearance time. Inspired by my Dark Souls III mod.

Balanced Gameplay with No Leveling_No Weapon or Summon Upgrading
🎮 **A balance mod that completely changes the Elden Circle game experience**
✨ Core Concept
This mod aims to make the game easier from a gameplay mechanics perspective, but not too easy. I removed my least favorite parts of these games:
🔧Main changes
1. No attribute requirements
- Any picked up weapons or spells have no stat requirements
- Spells still require spell slots
2. Remove weapon scaling
- All weapon attribute scaling has been completely removed
3. No upgrade system
- Weapons and summons cannot be upgraded
- The health and damage of summons are fixed at +5 level
- All upgrade materials can now only be sold
4. No level improvement
- Character cannot be upgraded (upgrade cost exceeds the maximum number of runes held)
- The initial professional attributes have been adjusted to: 40 vitality, concentration, endurance, 30 strength & dexterity, 20 faith, intelligence, induction
- **IMPORTANT: A new game must be started to get the correct attribute settings**
5. Armor weight optimization
- Armor weight is set to 60% of original value
- When you have 40 stamina, you will not be slow to roll unless you use heavy armor and heavy weapons.
6. Enemy damage adjustment
- Enemy damage in the base game is set to 2.3 (Gemir Volcano/Outskirts of the Royal City/Norkron)
- DLC damage scaling set to 3.0
- Module balance is based on the premise of not using tree fragments
7. Increased drop rate
- Weapons and armor drop rates increased
-The base drop rate is changed to 10%
- Get more materials to sell
8. Expanded summoning range
- The summoning requirement range of the Rebirth Monument has been reduced
- Can be summoned almost anywhere
9. Remove multi-week differences
- All New Game+ changes have been removed
- There is no difference in enemy health and damage when starting the second game
⚖️ Balance instructions
Enemy health is capped at x1.5, and while it sounds simple, since weapons can't be upgraded and there's no attribute damage scaling, your weapons are much weaker than the original. Weapon and magic damage values remain unchanged.
The rune drops of all enemies are reduced, and the boss's rune production is reduced by 64%. Rune items can only be consumed, not sold.
🔄 Compatibility
- Elden's Ring module has limited compatibility, especially modules that edit regulation.bin at the same time
- Contains MapStudio.csv file, which can be imported into the regulation.bin file of other modules
📥 Simple installation
- Download and unzip Mod Engine 2 to a permanent location
- Download and unzip the module zip file
- Paste the "regulation.bin" file of the module into the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2
- Run launchmod_eldenring.bat to launch the module version of Elden Ring
- **Start a new game**
🔄 Update instructions
Once you start the game with the correct properties, you can replace the file in the Mod Engine 2 folder with the newly uploaded regulation.bin and continue the game on the same save.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
