Rate Monitor
Rate Monitor is a Dyson Sphere Program mod inspired by Rate Calculator from Factorio. It lets you select machines in an area (using Alt + X) to calculate their input/output rates, track working ratios, and discover why some machines may not be running at full capacity.
This is pure info mod and does not affect achievements.
By pressing Alt +
This module is inspired by Factorio's Rate Calculator. It is a purely informational module and will not affect achievements.
Key Features
- Area Selection (Alt + X)
- Drag a box around production or mining facilities, matrix labs, ray receivers, and more.
- Once selected, a GUI window shows production and consumption rates, plus a real-time working ratio.
- If you’re in space or map view, pressing Alt + X will reopen the last selection’s data.
- Production/Consumption Overview
- Quickly see net rates (production minus consumption) for raw materials, intermediate goods, and final products.
- Shows both theoretical maximum rates and adjusted rates based on actual machine efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks: find which resources are in deficit and why certain machines aren’t operating at 100%.
- Recipe & Machine Details
- Click an item icon to “focus” on it, filtering the data to show only recipes that produce or consume that item.
- Click a building icon to expand its recipe details, revealing each machine’s status and reasons for underperformance.
- Toggle 'Detail' to view the recorded idle reasons and navigate to the machine location via the button.
- Area selection (Alt + X)
- Frame-select manufacturing equipment, mining equipment, matrix research stations, ray receiving stations, Dyson sphere facilities, etc.
- After selecting the box, a data window will pop up, showing real-time output and consumption rates, as well as the work ratio of various machines.
- If you are in space or planet view, pressing Alt + X will reopen the last box selection.
- You can select all buildings on the local/foreign planet in the operation panel
- Overview of output/consumption
- Quickly view the net yield (output - consumption) of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products.
- Simultaneously display the theoretical maximum production capacity and the estimated production capacity under actual operating efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks: Find out which projects are under-resourced and which machines are not running at full capacity.
- Recipe and machine details
- Click on the item icon to "focus" on the item, showing only the production and consumption entries related to it.
- Click the building icon to expand the recipe details and view the status of the specific machine and the reason why it is not at full capacity.
- Click "View Details" to view the recorded standby reasons and quickly navigate to the machine location with the buttons.
Area Selection Tool Area Selection Tool
Area select machines with Alt + X. Support machine types:
- production facility (assembler, smlter, fractionator, etc)
- mining facility (mining machine, water pump, oil extractor)
- matrix lab
- energy exchanger, ray receiver, fuel generator
- ejector, silo
- spray coater
Alt + X selects buildings in an area. Supported building types are:
- Production buildings (manufacturing benches, furnaces, fractionation towers, etc.)
- Collection buildings (mining machines, large mining machines, pumping stations, etc.)
- Research station (production mode & scientific research mode)
- Electrical facilities that produce/consume items (energy hubs, ray receiving stations, fuel power generation)
- Dyson sphere facilities (electromagnetic catapult, vertical launch silo)
- Sprayer
After selection done, a gui window will appear. When in space, hotkey Alt + X will open the window with the last selection.
When the window is open, Ctrl+right click can continue to add selected buildings (repeatable), and Shift+right click can remove selected buildings.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
