About this mod Machine translation
HalfGridSnap | English Description
Allows snapping coordinates to "half grid points". This plug-in replaces the hard-coded constants of PlanetGrid in the game through Harmony Transpiler, thereby changing the grid adsorption spacing and achieving a half-grid adsorption effect.
Main functions
- Replaced hardcoded constant 5.0f in PlanetGrid with 10.0f, changing snap spacing to achieve half-grid behavior.
- Switch half-grid adsorption by pressing the default shortcut key ~ during runtime (enabled by default). The shortcut key can be customized through the game.
Install
- Directly copy the output DLL to BepInEx/plugins or import the zip compressed package in the Output directory through the module manager for installation.
Build from source
- Use an SDK/Visual Studio that supports .NET Standard 2.1 (e.g. Visual Studio 2026).
- Restore the NuGet package or manually reference the BepInEx and HarmonyLib assemblies (the references should already be in the project).
- Edit the GameDir in the project.csproj to be your actual game directory.
- Select Release/Debug in the solution and generate the project:
- Visual Studio: Open the solution -> Right-click the project -> __Build__.
Implementation Notes (Developer)
- The key implementation is in PlanetGridPatch.cs:
- Use HarmonyTranspiler to loop through the IL instructions, find ldc.r4 5.0, and replace it with ldc.r4 10.0.
- After this modification, the adsorption behavior of PlanetGrid will be calculated with new constants to achieve the desired adsorption effect.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
