Use the logistics tower to exchange the scientific matrix (commonly known as "sugar" in the player community) into various black mist materials.
Requires BepInEx 5. Adapted to game version 0.10.35.
What does this MOD do?
As of 0.10.35, there are two ways to obtain Black Mist materials in the original version of the game: killing Black Mist and picking them up or manually exchanging metadata.
In the former, some people are troubled by not wanting to open the black mist or the black mist is too high. The latter cannot be automated and consumes a lot of money. This MOD provides an automated solution.
Added the function of researching scientific matrices into black mist materials for logistics towers (both interstellar logistics and transportation stations and intra-planetary logistics and transportation stations):
Convert the scientific matrix in the first grid into points according to "computing power",
Then use these points to produce multiple black mist materials at the same time starting from the 2nd grid.
The black mist materials (energy fragments, black mist matrix, silicon-based neurons, negative entropic singularities, matter reorganizers, core elements) that were originally to be transported manually,
Now just plug the matrix into the tower and it will continue to produce at the rate you set.
Core features
- Each material is settled independently and does not crowd out each other (putting 3 types means 3 times the consumption + 3 times the production capacity).
- A computing power (point) system uniformly converts matrices and materials, and all proportions can be changed in the configuration file.
- Whatever is placed in the tower will have a corresponding output rate, and the hover prompt will display the consumption and output per minute in real time.
- No tower name is modified, power consumption is not changed, and the behavior is consistent with the original logistics tower.
How to play: Match the tower to "Black Mist Workshop"
| Slot | What to put | Settings |
|---|---|---|
| Box 1 | Science Matrix (Electromagnetism/Energy/Structure/Information/Gravity/Cosmic Matrix) | Must check Local Requirements |
| Starting from the 2nd grid | Any black mist material, multiple types can be placed | Set supply/demand as needed |
When the three conditions are met at the same time, each frame consumes the matrix of the first grid and generates corresponding output for each material.
Checking "Local Demand" in box 1 is a necessary trigger. Towers that do not have local requirements selected will not be triggered and detected by this MOD.
Therefore, ordinary interstellar towers will not be accidentally damaged.
The material slots participating in the exchange default to the 6th slot (all slots in the original tower).
After installing the expansion MOD, you can increase the configuration item OutputSlotLimit (maximum 20).
Six types of black mist materials that can be redeemed:
| Black mist material | Default computing power |
|---|---|
| Energy Shard | 50 |
| Black Mist Matrix | 150 |
| Silicon-Based Neurons | 100 |
| Negentropic Singularity | 100 |
| Matter Reorganizer | 100 |
| Core element | 300 |
Six scientific matrices that can be redeemed:
| Scientific matrix | Default computing power |
|---|---|
| Electromagnetic Matrix | 50 |
| Energy Matrix | 100 |
| Structure Matrix | 250 |
| Information Matrix | 750 |
| Gravity Matrix | 1500 |
| Cosmic Matrix | 3000 |
Reference sources for the above values:
- The truce duration of the Black Mist communicator in the game (equivalent values between metadata are determined).
- The ratio of the metaverse (white sugar metadata) to various black mist materials (used to measure the value of various black mist materials). Among them, silicon-based neurons, negative entropic singularities, and material reorganizers are considered equivalent.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
