Japanese dubbing module
🎮 **Full version of Japanese dubbing module, supports high degree of customization! **
This mod replaces all Digimon, skill names, generation names, and some terms with their original Japanese versions. The module offers **four** different variants, allowing you to freely customize your gaming experience!
---
✨ Naming Option #1: Unmodified Name (UN)
These variants use the original names directly from the Digimon reference book without any modifications.
✨ Naming Option #2: Change Name (MN)
These variants are the same as above, but with some specific moves modified to better reflect Digimon's origins and/or to correct romanization inconsistencies.
For example, there are inconsistencies in the romanization of the following Digimon:
- Shakomon
- Musyamon
- Hisyaryumon
In this variant, they are uniformly modified to:
- Shakomon
- Mushamon
- Hisharyumon
---
🔥 Skill Option #1: Untranslated Skill Name (US)
All skill names originally in Japanese remain untranslated.
For example, Yokomon's skill will be called "Koyusetsu".
🔥 Skill Option #2: Translate Skill Name (TS)
All skill names originally in Japanese have been translated into English.
For example, Fox Leaf Arrows' skill will be called "Fox Leaf Arrows".
Some skills remain Japanese or contain Japanese vocabulary for reasons including:
- Skills are named after the weapons held by the Digimon (such as Shurikenmon's Kusanagi Sword)
- Skills are named after legendary Japanese swords (such as Yatagaramon, etc.)
- The Japanese part of the skill is a loanword from a specific field (such as Grizzlymon's immediate return)

⚠️ Notes
Not all translated skill names come from Wikimon. Even if a name appears there, that doesn't mean it's accurate. For example, the Lop skill name was wrong on Wikimon for years until I fixed it.
Special thanks to SlimeDoll, who helped me come up with translations of skill names that kept the original meaning while still sounding appropriate.
🐛 Bugs and fixes
While I've double-checked the script to look for any omissions or errors, with a project of this size I can't guarantee everything will be perfect. If you find any errors, no matter how minor, please feel free to leave a message and let me know!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
