Musketeers of Androu1
🔥 **Musketeers**! This reskin profession of the Arbalest, which was originally only "for patrons only", in my eyes is an excellent opportunity for transformation. I see her as a blank slate where the community is free to shape her functionality. While I'm certainly not the first person to try transforming her, this is my personal version!
✨ Core changes
All combat skills have been adjusted to varying degrees:
- **Aimed Shot**: Basically the same, but the damage bonus and critical chance against marked targets have been slightly reduced.
- **Smokescreen**: Completely reworked! Now it is changed to **stuns the two enemy units in the back row**, but the hit rate is slightly reduced.
- **Marking Shot**: Replaces "Starting Shot". Inflicts slight damage while marking the target and applying a speed debuff, resulting in a lower hit rate.
- **Buckshot**: Loses the ability to knock back enemies, but **damage is significantly increased**.
- **Retreat Shot**: Replaces "Secondary Weapon". Functions similarly, but causes the Musketeer to take a step back.
- **Encourage**: Replaced "bandage". Grants **Stress Heal** and a slight speed and damage buff to a teammate.
- **Skeet Shot**: Retains the effect of clearing stuns/marks, but removes the torch +3 and debuff resistance bonus, and will **increase own speed**.
⚖️ Attribute adjustment
Changes are not limited to skills, basic attributes have also been reshaped:
- **Enhancement**: Dodge, Debuff Resistance, Speed, Base Damage.
- **Weakened**: health, critical hit rate.
**Design Concept**: Make her more fragile and less dependent on critical hits than the Crossbowman, but able to deal more stable high damage. She also relies more on dodge to survive than the Crossbowman does.
🎯 Design Goals
All of these changes are intended to allow musketeers to carve out their own niche and be sufficiently different from crossbowmen. My goal is not to make her completely different, but to be a "parallel upgrade" option for the crossbowman. It's up to you to judge whether it's successful or not!
My biggest concern is the balance issue (too strong or too weak), and I hope the current version is reasonable.
📝 Future plans (possible)
- Add camp skills?
- Make necessary balance adjustments based on feedback.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
