Black Reliquary Translation Template
🎮 **Welcome to use the "Black Sacred Object" translation template! ** This mod is intended to provide a basic framework for translators of all languages, allowing non-English speaking players to enjoy the game.
✨ Origin of the module
I originally wanted to make a Russian translation of Black Relics, but found that all language files except English were missing from the game! 😱 So I created this mod for myself to make translation work.
📁 Mod content
I created **12 missing language files** for the game in the mod, covering all text content. Since Black Relics partially uses text from Darkest Dungeon, I copied all the existing language translations from the original game and filled in the missing parts with English.
This means the game is now **partially translated**! You just need to translate the remaining English text into the language you need.
📦 Installation method
There are two installation methods, choose one:
**Method 1: Copy the folder**
- Copy the `localization` folder to:
`Steam/steamapps/common/Black Reliquary/localization`
**Method 2: Use the Mod Manager**
- Copy the `Template` folder to:
`Steam/steamapps/common/Black Reliquary/mods`
- Enable it in the game's mods menu.
🛠️ How to use this module for translation
If you want to translate this mod:
- Use **Method 1** to install.
- After the translation is completed, run the `localization.bat` batch file, which will insert all edited text files into the game.
💡 **Tips**: This template greatly simplifies the translation process, allowing you to focus on the text content itself without having to deal with complex file structures.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
