  • Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\base\scripts.ini

Notes for REDMOD users

REDmod is known to have compatibility issues. To use redscript and REDmod, you should install RED4ext or cybercmd. Once installed, any of these mods will automatically resolve REDmod compatibility issues.

No effect?

If you're not sure if it works or have any other issues, you should look for the log file at 'Cyberpunk 2077\r6\logs\redscript.log'.

If the mod was successfully applied, the log file should end with 'Output successfully saved to...'.

If the log file contains any errors or warnings, you can post them here to aid debugging.

If the log file does not exist, then redscript is not installed correctly.

uninstall

The compiler saves a copy of the game scripts in the 'Cyberpunk 2077\r6\cache\final.redscripts.bk' file.

If you want to uninstall redscript, simply delete the files you downloaded (scc.exe and scripts.ini) and replace the existing 'final.redscripts' file with the backed-up 'final.redscripts.bk' file.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
