Facial custom bone repair
🎯 Module function
This mod fixes major facial pose issues caused by facial options using incorrect bone offsets. All deformed positions are now restored correctly, resolving the horrible eye molding issue and allowing V to close his eyes again. Facial shape has also been slightly improved thanks to the use of correct offsets in animations.
👁️ Effect description
- **Not all facial shapes will make a significant difference** - If the eye shapes are close to the Shape 01 position, they will not be severely molded anyway, so the modding effect will be relatively small for these shapes
- **Some shapes are almost unusable** - As you can see in the image above, some face shapes are almost unusable without this fix
🔧 Technical background
This is a bug fix mod. CDPR had fixed these issues in version 1.3 of the game, but for some reason they have disabled all these fixes starting from version 1.5.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
**If you encounter problems with V face reset**: Please uninstall the AppearanceChangeUnlocker module, remove it completely and then install its latest BETA version. This completely solved the problem for me and at least 5 other users!
**Occasional Crash Issue**: This mod will occasionally cause the game to crash when exiting character creation. I've tried fixing it, but it seems to be an issue with the game system itself (possibly CDPR being disabled). Using the latest beta version of AppearanceChangeUnlocker seems to reduce this situation!
**Custom Head Usage Recommendation**: If using a custom sculpted head that does not rely on CC shape options, set all shape options to 01.
📥 Installation instructions
Just unzip the file into the home directory of Cyberpunk 2077.
🔄 Compatibility
Restore functionality to some mods, such as Carbine's NPC Heads and other mods that rely on meshes to adapt to facial bones.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
