If you don't use resolution scaling via DLSS or FSR, this will hit your VRAM quite a bit, so I'd say it's a requirement unless you're using the 2K version on a decent graphics card.

Thanks to a happy accident by Little Wolf, the dark version of this mod actually performs really well. You can see the difference in the gifs and decide for yourself which one to use. I personally really like the darker version. All split comparison screenshots are of the standard version.

I used chaiNNer and ESRGAN models to upscale all textures by 4x, up to 4K. Most of the original textures are 1K or 512 resolution, some of them are 256. So the "4K" version is actually a mix of 2K and 4K textures, some of which are 1K, while the "2K" version is actually a mix of 2K and 1K textures, some of which are 512 because it's more suitable for the "2x" upscale. But people get confused, so I use inaccurate terminology.

I recommend using it with my High Resolution Graffiti mod.

Cyberpunk loads archives in alphanumeric order, with numbers preceding letters. Archive names that appear first are loaded last, meaning they will overwrite anything after them.

If you want it to be overwritten by other mods, please add "ZZ" prefix to the beginning of the mod archive name. If you want it to be overridden by other mods, please add "00" prefix to the beginning of the mod archive name. Name

So what's going on with these high-resolution texture mods?

Cyberpunk relies heavily on post-processing and native upgrading of graphics. This means that most of the original textures are very low resolution, and the game engine will upscale most of them to at least 2x the original texture, but up to 32x, depending on your graphics settings.

The technology allows CDPR to package games smaller, but the quality of this dynamic upgrading is nowhere near what a carefully trained and selected upgrading model can achieve using powerful AI software. Since normal textures have been upgraded, there shouldn't be much difference in VRAM usage between these mods with texture quality settings set to "High".

The biggest improvement is increased clarity. CP77's textures rely heavily on normal maps, and colors and effects are then applied to these normal maps. AI upscaled normal maps greatly improve the clarity of detail, allowing light and shadows to fall better.

Okay, I'm convinced. I want more. Give me give me.

All right! Stay tuned as I plan on upgrading almost the entire game! for real!

By the time I'm done, it will have over a hundred mods and basically a complete next-gen graphics DLC. All my CP77 mods are here. You can follow me on to get notifications of new releases, but I also package everything into Collections so you can get one-click installation:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
