About this mod Machine translation

CK3 naval battle

"CK3 Naval Warfare" adds a naval and naval combat system based on event settlement to "Crusader Kings III". Once the player character owns a coastal territory, the naval system can be officially enabled through a special decision. After the system is launched, navies will also be introduced for rulers with independent duke-level titles and above around the world, allowing AI forces to build ships, manage fleets and participate in maritime competitions.

Main content

  • Independent naval management GUI panel • AI naval construction and management logic • Naval battle system based on event chain settlement • Three basic ships with different functions • Three special warships with cultural characteristics • Simulation of sea control and sea blockade through gain and debuff effects • Specific naval battle process description of strategic status such as fleet organization, naval transportation and competition for sea control:

basic ship

The module currently contains three basic ships:• Transport ship: has high transport capacity, but weak combat capability. • Galley warship: good at boarding and maneuvering combat. • High-side warship: has stronger shooting ability and durability. Different ship types have their own transport capacity, side access, shooting, maneuverability and durability attributes. The actual performance of the fleet will be determined by the number of ships, ship type composition and organization.

Culturally special ship

Some cultures have access to special ships: • Longship: The highly maneuverable side warship of the Norse culture. • Greek fire warship: a special warship used by the Greek culture, good at taking sides and suppressing fire. • Louchuan: A large and highly durable warship used by Han culture and Goryeo culture, with powerful transportation and shooting capabilities.

control of the sea

This mod simulates sea control through character modifiers, buffs, and debuffs. Fleets vying for sea control can influence enemy sea transport and exert a blockade effect on rulers who lack naval protection. There are trade-offs between naval transport, fleet organization, and sea control commands.

AI naval logic

CK3's AI actually cannot truly understand the abstract strategic concept of "sea control." Therefore, this module adds a hidden sea power emphasis value to affect the ruler's emphasis on naval construction.

Start mode

Once the player character owns a coastal territory, he or she can activate the naval system through a decision. Upon launch:• Players will be given a naval management interface. • AI rulers who meet the requirements will begin building and managing the navy. • Functions related to naval transport, sea control and event naval battles will be officially enabled.

compatibility

This module is developed based on the original version of CK3. It has not yet been systematically tested for compatibility with large mods. This module may conflict with modules that modify the following content: • AI behavior logic • Role and territory modification • Sea transportation related mechanisms • Part of the GUI interface • Compatible with Dynamic Family Portrait. Please sort it before all modules that modify the gui. To report bugs, please use Steam screenshot sharing or public image sharing. It will be helpful to attach game screenshots and mod lists.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
