Progression Rebalance

New Official Discord server:

Tweaks the economy and progression curve, rebalances shop prices and hospital bills, and adds a way to sell items. It aims to make sessions shorter, saves are lost faster, and to prevent accumulating too much money in later quotas.

Must be installed on all clients to work.

Requires the Dbs Content API mod.

Progression curve

  • Monster budget starts at 40 instead of 20. It scales up to 120 on quota 33 instead of capping at 55 on quota 5.
  • Maximum monster budget starts at 10 instead of 5.
  • Monsters spawn faster.
  • Video score to money does not scale anymore after every quota (from 1.5x to 3x). Video score to money ratio stays at 1.8x throughout the game.
  • Views per quota scale infinitely and faster.
  • Artifacts and tool spawning is capped from day 1.

Shop price tweaks

  • Defibrillator: now $500.
  • Hugger: now $300.
  • Long flashlight: now $300 (was $600).

Hospital bills

Replaces the vanilla bill (10% of team money per dead player) with a flat per-dead fee.

  • $50 per dead player on your first quota, plus +$25 for each quota you have already completed.
  • Example: quota run 0 → $50/dead; quota run 2 → $100/dead.

Item sell hatch

A resell hatch to sell items.

  • Items are sold for 30% of their shop price.

New content

WIP — You will be able to find new artifacts on the map. They can have special effects and they can be sold for a price into the item selling hatch.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
