Updated Fortified Alert
Reinforced Alerts - Guards are now alerted
Allows you to place your troops in a protected sector and then wake them up when enemy troops in sight sound the alarm.
The hotkey is currently G, but this can be changed by modifying keychoice at the top of lua:
code:
localKeyChoice = Keys.G
This mod uses UnitPanel.lua as it's currently the only way I can incorporate new actions.
Note: The latest version of the turn chime has been commented out, so if you want to enable it you have to re-comment it (remove the dash - )
If you want to disable the ringtone or change the sound, look for this section: ~line 3722
[SPOILER =“]
code:
---------------------Transfer to A; ert ---------------------- ----
Local pPlayer = player[iPLayer];
If pPlayer:IsHuman() then
UI.PlaySound(“Play_MP_Game_Launch_Timer_Beep”); ----------Edit to change the sound
Finish-------------------------------------------------- ------------
[/ SPOILER]
If you want to disable it, delete or comment it out. (Of course now I notice the typo in the Alert).
Fortified Alert - Now Alert Guard
Allows you to place units on guard, who will then wake when alerted by enemy units in sight.
The hot-key is currently G, but can be changed by modifying keychoice at top of the lua:
Code:
local KeyChoice = Keys.G
This mod uses UnitPanel.lua as it was the only way I could currently incorporate a new operation.
Note: newest version has the turn chime already commented out, so if you wish to enable you must comment back in (remove the dashes --)
If you wish to disable turn chime, or change sound, look for this section: ~line 3722
[SPOILER="]
Code:
---------------------Turn A;ert -----------------------------
local pPlayer = Players[iPLayer];
if pPlayer:IsHuman() then
UI.PlaySound("Play_MP_Game_Launch_Timer_Beep"); ----------edit to change sound
end
--------------------------------------------------------------
[/SPOILER]
Remove or comment out if you want to disable. (of course now I notice the typo in Alert).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
