About this mod Machine translation

Rosetta - Dynamic City Names dynamic city names

Ever wished your city was more vibrant? Do the cities you conquered now feel like they're part of your empire? Then this mod is for you!

Rosetta - Dynamic City Name changes the city name based on its owner. It also prevents duplicate names from appearing in the same game (e.g. Eboracum/York).

Rosetta is fully modular and will work no matter which mods or DLC you enable. Mod compatibility is currently a work in progress, but many of the most popular mods are already built into Rosetta.

Rosetta also works with my other mods improving city names, highly recommended to add more variety of names to the mix.

Of course, not every city will have a name in every language, but with over 16,000 names in Rosetta's database at the end of the day, there's a good chance you'll see a lot of variation over the course of the game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
