~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Introduction~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So here we are, after 2 months of hard work, around 4400 lines of code and a hundred handcrafted promotional icons, here we are, the biggest baby I've ever made!
I always thought there were several issues with the actual Civ 6 combat balance. Some of the values here are too strong, others are useless in specific situations and they really shouldn't be. Like many mod creators, I tried to fix this by adjusting the unit's raw stats, but that just wasn't right. When I used to solve a problem, new ones kept popping up in front of me. One day I had this smart yet crazy idea: completing all promotional trees would be the best way, but I think it would be hard to balance the game. Because the promotion tree recommends evolving through xp, this can easily bend the balance between units.
Now here we are! All 14 promotional trees have been completely rebuilt with brand new promotions. Some will remind you of vanilla's nostalgic effects, but in most cases you'll encounter completely new effects that you'll have to learn all over again!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MOD CONTENT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The main goals for making these new promotion trees are:

Give each class at least one irresistible value/aspect so that no one is disappointed. Now each of them becomes tantalizing and we will see colored and various armies and not you know what I mean! And...you know why!

A more balanced, useful and professional choice. Vanilla is often the dedicated but obvious choice, and then sometimes there's a promotion that feels almost useless on the one hand. This way, players will always choose the same promotional path...boring! When I did my final test, I was only happy with my work when I couldn't decide which promotion to pursue. That’s the feeling I want to recreate every time.

Realism! The tiny details keep you happily playing with your units and impatient to reach promotional time. In every promotion, I try to imagine something that makes perfect sense in reality. It's hard to think of this while wanting to fill in the rest of the criteria.

Every unit now has native abilities. For some you won't be surprised (like anti-cavalry and their ability to fight cavalry, I didn't invent water here!). Even though these are small bonuses most of the time, they're already focused on your unit classes and will drastically change the way you think about strategy when fighting.

The result is a more interesting gameplay. These new promotions/abilities will force players to move and attack units in a more organized and strategic manner. Each unit type now has its own strategy, with almost every unit having an "anti-sell tree" unit.

If you remember the first point: Nerfing is not enough! If not, read it again :p Kind of like Skyrim Stealth Bow Assassins, we always end up with ranged armies because of our laziness. Because in this game, range is too powerful and very convenient. Don't worry though, I definitely don't want to throw them out and to sum it up, they are more fun to play but not as powerful.

All naval classes gain healing abilities faster. (because that's really annoying)

Exiting a naval battle will be more difficult. I want all naval units to feel threatened by land or air units. So I lowered t …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
