About this mod Machine translation

Quo's QA Godmode

This mod is mainly intended for modders and QA testers. It offers a "God Mode" setting that allows you to access every unit, building and area starting from the 1st. It also provides virtual settings for other changes you may want to make.

The idea of this mod is that you can quickly edit it to change any value needed for quick access to units, promotions, buildings, technologies, etc. You should comment out any lines of code that are not useful to you.

bonus materials

As a bonus, in the folder I've also included a cheat sheet of common names for many of the main tables and primary keys in the game. You can use this to help you quickly remember something that must be spelled correctly, such as LEADER_SALADIN or ERA_ANCIENT, etc.

compatibility

There are no INSERT statements in this mod, only UPDATE, so this mod should theoretically be compatible with anything. However, be sure to comment out any lines that will interfere with your tests.

Notice

-Unless you are specifically testing barbarians, I recommend turning them off before starting the game. Since you can access any unit in the game, they will spawn it at a very high level

  • The Technology and Civic trees will be essentially empty as all pre-requests are default encoded. If you need to see something in the tree, comment out those lines.
  • This mod does not give unique units/districts/improvements/etc like civs that wouldn't normally have them. You can do this if you want, but I thought it might break too many things, so I left it to unlocking the stuff that civilizations/leaders usually get.

Feature list

Cheat Sheet: Found in the mod folder, this cheat sheet will help you remember database names for common game objects. Game Editors: These should be edited by you and your team to suit your purposes. Here's a quick list of the ones enabled by default: - Super Rocket: +5 movement for all units - Super Sight: 7 range sight for all units - All units cost 1 hammer - All units can be purchased for 0 gold

  • Unit has no technical/civic prerequisites
  • Builder's fee is normal x3

  • 80% reduction in technology costs
  • City costs reduced by 80%
  • All resources are revealed from round 1

-No prereqs for improving citizens/tech

-Builders can build barbarian camps (untested, commented out, use AT your risk)

-No technical/citizen prereqs buildings

  • Prereqs for non-Tech/Citizen jurisdictions

-Building/area costs 1 hammer

  • The area does not require population
  • 100 housing units and 100 entertainment venues in the city center
  • +200 gold coins per turn from the palace

(option coded but off, deactivated)

  • Units start at level 5 (for testing promotions)
  • Any unit can purchase gold (used to test outstanding talents)

This mod is intended mainly for modders and QA testers. It provides settings for a "god mode" that allows you access to every unit, building, and district from turn 1. It also provides dummy settings for additional changes you may want to make.

The idea of this mod is that you can edit it quickly to change whatever values you need to quickly access a unit, promotion, building, tech, etc. You should comment out any lines of code that are not useful to you.

Notes

  • Unless you are testing Barbarians specifically, I recommend turning them OFF before starting a game. They will spawn it at a very high level due to your access to any unit in the game

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
