Introduction and Info

First of all, thank you for your support! This preset has been featured on PC Gamer, RockPaperShotgun, PCGamesN, and Gamer Zakh's YouTube channels. A huge thank you to everyone for supporting it, and a huge thank you to everyone at ReShade who has spent thousands of hours developing various iterations of ReShade, as well as the various people who have written shaders for it, like Marty McFly, Ganossa, CeeJay, Crosire, etc. Enhancing the game the way we do wouldn't be possible without the hard work you put in.

There are two types of this preset, each with many performance options. All options are combined in two separate downloads. The first is ReShade 2.0.3 with Framework 2.0, which I'm only providing as a courtesy because the version of ReShade used for this preset is no longer available on the original website as the creator tried to move people to Reshade 3. XX. The other download includes a preset file I created, a global configuration file for ReShade, and a fixed version of Ganossa's UI Mask Shader that wasn't working properly.

What does this MOD do?

This really doesn't qualify as a true "mod". This is a ReShade ejector preset that desaturates and modifies the game's original color palette, as well as adding a depth of field effect similar to that seen in tilt-shift photography. Screenshot below:

How to do it?

Reshade is an advanced, fully versatile post-processing injector for gaming and video software. It allows the user to manipulate various values via "shaders". A shader is a generated computer program or (set of) files used to tint or modify appropriate levels of color in an image, or in the modern era, to produce special effects such as depth of field or tilt shift, or to perform video post-processing such as anti-aliasing.

v1.3 (Westeros version):

Details, quality and performance

Depth of field can be toggled in all presets with it enabled by pressing numpad 0. Currently, not all effects can be toggled using the default scroll lock button. If you have a less powerful machine or laptop, using depth of field is not recommended. FPS hits with depth of field ENABLED can be high, especially at 4k (2160p). I had no framerate issues running 4K using the Titan X Maxwell with SLI and 32GB DDR4. Mileage may vary.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
