About this mod Machine translation
Installation method
Just put the "ModManager" folder decompressed from the compressed package into the root directory of the game. The "ModManager.bat" in the folder is the running program.
How to use
When you start the tool for the first time, you will be prompted to add a MOD. You can press Enter to skip and enter the main interface.
Enter the main interface and press the "I" key, enter the new MOD name, and press Enter to save. It is recommended that the name not be too long. This name is the name that will be displayed in the tool in the future and is also the name of the save folder.
After pressing any key, the tool will automatically open the newly created folder and save the MOD file in the corresponding game folder. Commonly used folders have been automatically created. Redundant folders can be deleted or ignored. If not, please create the required folders manually.
Return to the main interface, select the newly created MOD and follow the instructions to install it.
Things to note
It is best to restore the previously installed MOD before use, otherwise the backup files may not be the original game files. If you don’t want to restore, read down the tool parameters.
When the tool starts, it will search the game's main directory, so don't put the tool in too many folders, which will affect the startup speed. It is recommended to copy the tool folder directly to the game root directory.
The tool does not manage things placed directly under "My Documents\...\MODS" because there is really no need.
Seeing that it can be used here, technical obsessive-compulsive people can read below, and novices can ignore it.
Tool parameters and details
The tool uses external commands such as "choice" and "where", so it supports running on win7-win10 systems. However, since Civilization 6 can only run on these systems, this is no longer a problem.
The "MODS" folder under the tool directory is the folder where downloaded MODs are saved. MODs added using the new function are all in this folder. Each folder in it saves a MOD, and the folder name is the MOD name displayed in the tool.
The method to manually create a MOD is to create a new folder in the "MODS" folder, and then copy the MOD file to the new folder according to the corresponding path of the game. When the tool is installed, the files will be copied into the game directory according to this folder path.
The "BACKUPS" folder under the tool directory saves the original game files modified when installing the MOD. The backup files all correspond to the game path and file name. If you have installed other MODs before using this tool, you can save the original game files according to the corresponding path.
The backup rule executed by the tool when installing MOD is: when the MOD file to be installed is different from the current game file, and this file exists in the game directory, and there is no corresponding file in the backup folder, copy the files in the game directory into the "BACKUPS" folder.
The tool is executed when uninstalling a MOD: If there is a corresponding file in the "BACKUPS" folder, it will copy the file directly from the "BACKUPS" folder and overwrite it into the game; otherwise, it will judge that the MOD file is the same as the game file and delete the file in the game.
Lines 5-21 of the tool code are running parameters. It is generally not recommended to modify them. If necessary, you can modify them before running. Parameters that may be modified: HOTKEY_ starts with the keys corresponding to the main interface options; GAME_MAIN_PROGRAM is the name of the game's main program. If the game main program is modified Program name, please modify this parameter; the GAME_MODIFIERS parameter is the cheat startup path. If you modify this parameter, the cheat will be started at the same time when you use the tool to start the game; START_MODIFIERS_DELAY is the waiting time for starting the cheat after starting the game.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
