Global Arms Trade - Strategic Industry II Arms Trade
Weapons are new strategic resources required by most global units and can be traded.
Request Steel and Thunder via Deliverator
If you choose not to use Steel and Thunder, then you must delete the folder labeled SI_Steel_and_Thunder from Global Arms Trade.
Also requires Rise & Fall AND Persia & Macedon DLC (referencing the Basilikoi Paides build. I'm Beautiful will definitely crash if you don't have this.)
If the player has the prerequisite strategy and bonus resources, weapons will be produced by the palace and/or selected camp, port, airport, industrial area or campus buildings.
Most pre-modern era weapon sources include palaces as a prerequisite to reduce the difficulty of acquiring weapons.
Constructing zones and/or buildings in each city will generate multiple weapons resources.
These buildings and mine strategic resources are strategic targets. Destroying them will make the weapons resource disappear.
Civilizations that accept traded weapons do not require the necessary buildings or improvements. Although if you don't have a camp or port, the two strategic resource rules still apply.
In order to keep most of the pre-modern era weapon resources relevant in the late game +1 Culture was added to the Archaeological Museum's obsolete technology for the relevant units. Yield only comes from the first copy of each resource. A detailed list can be found in Civiledia at the entrance to the Archaeological Museum.
Other changes:
All Civs receive a free Builder at the start of the game to help the AI start quickly. Deleting the file titled SI_Starting_Builder will delete it if it's not your cup of tea.
Copper, Iron, Aluminum, Coal, Niter, and Oil now appear in a wider range of terrains and features. I did my research and stayed realistic.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
