About this mod Machine translation

Overview

Maya, the Elemental Banshee, is a complete overhaul of Maya's skill and class modes, pushing her into a different playstyle focused on elemental effect damage and melee combat (including some ranged melee skills).

Many of the important skills from her vanilla build have been taken away (e.g. Shipwreck, Reaper, Scrap, Easy Hummingbird's Guard) and replaced with new skills with some interesting synergies. Her health and health regeneration skills have been improved to allow for more aggressive and close quarters play, including. There are depleted shields. Most class mods have been adapted, and some new ones introduced (Legendary Banshee,...). I recommend starting a new game to build her up gradually.

Elemental Banshee Maya is fully functional and highly playable. Balancing is built around the vanilla version of the game, with some internal tweaks. If you like this mod, please don't hesitate to like/give some feedback. Additionally, feel free to post and discuss your version in the forum.

Installation and compatibility

Install Elemental Banshee Maya using BLCMM:

Install BLCMM

In BLCMM>Tools>Set the mod's Game Files: Enable Mod Support option, and any other options you might want.

Open ElementalBansheeMaya.blcm in BLCMM (or use File > Import Single mod if you want to combine it with other mods)

In BLCMM > File > Save As: Select "Open BL2 Binaries Directory" and save it under any name you like (e.g. mymods.txt)

Start your game. In the menu with new game, character selection, etc., press "Esc" to exit to the main menu.

Open the console (using the keys you selected when setting up the game files for mods in BLCMM) and enter for example "exec mymods.txt".

Close the console, press keys to continue, and you're good to go.

Elemental Banshee Maya is self-contained and can be used independently.

You can also try using BLCMM to combine it with other mods. Elemental Banshee Maya should be compatible with most other mods, but please note the following:

Import Elemental Banshee Maya using "Import Single Mod" in BLCMM, preferably after importing any other mods you want to use.

If other mods affect Maya skills or class mods in any way, make sure to disable those changes. It's worth noting that if you're using UCP, disable the "Skill Changes > Maya" category, as well as the "Gear Changes > Type Mods > Changes to Terra Slayer... > Maya". If you are using my skill scaling patch, also disable anything Maya related.

Elemental Banshee Maya balances the vanilla version of the game. Therefore, it is not recommended to use it in conjunction with mods that affect game balance (such as Slag Overhaul, UVHM Overhaul, etc.): you may still do it, and it shouldn't create any technical issues, but your mileage may vary with your gameplay.

Skill

phase lock

Phaselock's damage against non-lockable targets is now based on Maya's melee damage, and benefits from all of her melee damage bonuses (including riding shields, bladed weapons).

sports

Guard: Increased shield recharge rate and shield recharge delay (making the delay longer).

Siren Song: Sweet Release, adds a stacking mechanism: every time you encounter a locked enemy, you will get a stack of Siren Song. Siren Song stacks for 6 minutes, increases Max Health, and functions as other skills in the Motion tree.

Sustenance: Passive health regeneration, faster when shields or magazines are empty.

Speed Up: Increases the cooldown rate of Phaselock and Scorn, depending on how many Siren Song are stacked.

Fleet: No changes.

Converge: Now also adds 1 second to Phaselock duration.

Scream: When an enemy is locked on, firepower and gun damage are massively increased, but shields are also consumed. When the shield is empty, the bonus is lost.

Kinetic Reflection: Now causes bullets to deal % damage to enemies depending on the amount of Siren Song stacks and the player's level. (For example, with 5 stacks at 5/5, deflected bullets deal 100% …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
