About this mod Author’s original text
Heal Mode 1.0.0
A BONELAB multiplayer healing mod with glowing yellow hands and spatial healing
audio. Heal other living players by touching or holding them. Healing blows scale
with their normal damage strength, up to 30% of maximum health per hit.
Installation
Install MelonLoader, BoneLib, LabFusion and AudioImportLib. Copy both DLLs from
Mods into BONELAB/Mods, then restart the game. Keep only one copy of Spin.dll.
The included Spin 1.6.32 provides shared multiplayer effects and health reception.
Heal Mode is compatible with Spin 1.6.32 and later compatible releases. The target
player needs this Heal package or the updated Spin runtime to receive healing.
Players with ordinary Fusion alone cannot receive custom healing commands.
With HealMode.dll installed, active Spin controls are disabled. Its multiplayer
sounds, visuals and health indicators remain available. Remove HealMode.dll if
you want active Spin controls again.
Controls
- Press and release both GRAB+trigger buttons together three times to toggle healing.
- Your hands glow yellow while healing is active.
- Touch another player's body with either hand, or grab and hold them, to heal
continuously. No punch or trigger press is required for contact healing.
- A healing blow restores health proportional to its normal damage strength,
capped at 30% of maximum health per hit. Validated strikes have a 0.25-second
per-target cooldown. The target's health cannot exceed its maximum.
- Repeat the three simultaneous GRAB presses to turn healing off.
Use BoneMenu > Heal Mode > Healing enabled as an alternative to the gesture.
Contact healing (% / second) adjusts continuous healing from 0.1 to 20% per
second; default 5%. Healing is off after loading a level.
Scope and multiplayer
This mod activates player healing only. It does not grant object rewind,
levitation, NPC healing, resurrection, Spin activation or time-control abilities.
Yellow hands and healing sounds synchronize with updated compatible clients.
The recipient validates nearby hand contact and applies healing locally.
Health bars show synchronized health changes, not merely healing requests.
Healing punch conversion uses BONELAB's native Health.OnReceivedDamage path.
Unusual avatars, other combat mods, collision damage paths or high network latency
may need additional compatibility work. Compile checks and pure limit tests do
not establish that every multiplayer punch is converted. Test contact healing,
held-player healing, weak/strong punches and yellow hand effects with a second
updated client before a broad release.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
