🚀 Main functions

🔧 **1. Use FModel to unpack the .data file in PBTable**

  • Can visually display all unpacked protobuf.data files in the game

✏️ **2. Edit .data file**

  • Visually edit .data files and save them as new files

📦 **3. PAK file generation**

  • Supports dragging folders to package into game-compatible .pak module files

📝 **4. Import and export notes**

  • You can add your own comments to the .data field to facilitate marking and tracking the analyzed configuration table
  • Right click on the ID entry or field name entry, and the note menu button will appear
  • Supports importing note files configured by others to promote collaboration between module creators
  • You can share your note configuration on the module's bug or post page

---

📖 User Guide

  • **After launching the software**, go to File menu -> Open data directory and select the folder containing the .data file (usually from the PBTable folder unpacked by FModel)
  • **Interface Layout** From left to right: .data file list, data list within a single .data file, field data within each individual entry
  • The data file is a protobuf file, and some fields in the data adopt proto nested format. Nested data can currently be edited by opening a new window
  • The rest of the above functions can be found under the File menu

---

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

🔍 **1. Tool Limitations**

  • This is only an editor for .data files and does not support .uasset files unpacked by other FModels

💻 **2. Operating environment**

  • The tool uses .NET 8.0, please install the .NET 8.0 library when using it

🛠️ **3. Improvement and Distribution**

  • Experts are free to clone and modify the tool if they find it lacking or want to improve it
  • Please give credit to the original author when redistributing

📁 **4. Packing Precautions**

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
