Simplified Chinese translation based on 5E Spells 1.1.60

After looking around, I found that all the big guys who were doing Chinese translation seemed to have given up. It just so happened that the original author of 5e updated 1.1.60, so I learned the Chinese translation method and made a Chinese version myself.

Based on the source files of @Eta boss (personal homepage: ), direct Chinese improvements are made.

At present, 5e has added some new spells, but the original author has not completely finished digging some holes, and there may be some bugs. This should not be caused by Chinese translation, and there are many modifications compared to the previous description logic, so I need to check line by line and my eyes are dazzled =◎ロ◎=

If there are any mistakes, omissions, or ambiguities, you can point them out directly in the comment area. I will correct them immediately if I see them.

If there are some problems that do not affect the game process or experience, I will collect them and solve them in the next update, so that everyone does not have to download them frequently.

There are some that I will keep in the original English text after Chinese translation (such as skill names). You can check if there is a more appropriate translation and leave a message in the comment area directly.

If other big guys want to modify it themselves, or maybe I forgot to update it in the future and want to take over, they can just take the source file and modify it without asking me (it’s best to say it in the comment area, so that it will be more convenient for everyone and avoid someone repeating the Chinese version)! Download the 5E spell original MOD first! This is just Chinese translation!

5e spell N network original file:

Special edition:

Some players may not be able to access the N network, so I included the pak of the original 5e spells in the compressed package; but capable players must go to the N network to download the source files because updates are quite frequent, and strange problems will inevitably occur as a porter. I cannot update them in time. At the same time, I also want to support the original author.

How to use:

First decompress the compressed package to get two paks:

5eSpells.pak 5 spell source file

5eSpellsCN.pak Chinese file

Just throw the two files directly into BG3Manager in sequence, and put the Chinese sorting under the original MOD;

Or put the pak in the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods directory

(If you have downloaded the latest 5e spells on the N network, just drop 5eSpellsCN.pak into the folder or BG3Manager)

Chinese tutorial:

Very, very simple, no programming basics, just need to change English into Chinese, plus a little patience and love

Chinese description:

Lt;LSTag Tooltip="AbilityCheck"Lg;Attribute checkLt;/LSTag Lg;. Something like this ends with Lt; (actually a symbol) with a word (attribute identification) in the middle, which means that this word is an expandable noun (these are the yellow in the text description in the game, and you can press T to explain the professional nouns, such as "saving throw", "attack throw", "advantage", "disadvantage" and various buffs)

Example: The creature is considered proficient in Survival ability checks.

<>The inner part is the label description, so there is no need to Chineseize it;

If you really don’t understand, just compare the source file with the Chinese version, and you will easily understand how to make it Chinese;

The rest is the CV;

In fact, if you learn how to do it, you will be considered half a programmer (not

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
