Resting above the gate of Whiterun sits a spot long forgotten by the city, abandoned materials, containers and packages left by past stores and citizens clutter the narrow space. There locked away by city officials and overgrown is the entrance to the cistern of Whiterun; a spot once used by criminals, skooma dealers and drunks. These unwanted have long since been driven out and the doors sealed and blocked by the guards who no longer patrol those halls. Will you claim this forgotten section of the city as your own?

This player home is an entirely free meager dwelling spot for those looking for a private get away from the bustle of Whiterun Hold; you will only need to unlock the entrance to claim it as your own. Inside is a forgotten cistern perfect to call home with every container minus the jewlery box being safe storage. The home itself includes the gateway perch above the entrance to Whiterun, the cistern underneath and the small room directly outside Whiterun which is now used by the guards and travelers. There are plenty of hidden details and harvestables inside the cistern area for you to find and collect. The boarded off doorway and guard post were once linked but have been closed off long ago; the key lost to time.

This mod was original created in 2013 on Oldrim by Scon27 who gave me permission to make my own edits in 2014 for my Whiterun Gatehouse Home Reduxwhich I have personally used for years. Now with Skyrim Special Edition and both mods long outdated and forgotten I have gone ahead and remastered my Redux version; vastly improving and fixing all issues with the past home. Details and improvements have been added to all sections of the home to enhance the lore behind the location and improve and fix all past bugs. For those using city overhaul mods I am personally using Dawn of Skyrim and with just two disables the location works flawlessly; there is a high chance of this working with any overhaul as long as major changes aren't made to the gateway. The entire home is follower friendly and has spots for NPCs to interact and relax if you choose to have them wait there or live there using My Home is Your Home.
