Requiem - New Legion Patch

BRIEF OVERVIEW

This mod patches the armor from NordwarUA’s New Legion mod so that it is compatible with Requiem v 3.4.0.

DESCRIPTION

This mod patches the armor from NordwarUA’s New Legion mod so that it is compatible with Requiem v 3.4.0. Every piece or armor and every weapon added by this mod has been carefully compared with its respective Requiem counterpart and adjusted accordingly.

The added Penitus Oculatus armors from New Legion are classified as Heavy Armor; not Light Armor. In order to maintain the integrity of New Legion, the armor was kept as heavy and adjusted accordingly with the proper keywords.

If you combine these armors with those from Guard Armor Overhaul, you have a complete replacement for all of Skyrim’s guards, the Stormcloaks and the Imperials.

Replacements

The default armors were replaced with the models provided in New Legion. The Imperial Studded Cuirass was replaced by Imperial Chainmail. Since the mod changes the models, all NPC’s who used to be attired in Legion Armor, including bandits, should have the new armor.

Other Outfits

General Tullius - wears a new outfit based on New Legion adjusted for Requiem’s gameplay.

Horik Halfhand - now actually wears “Old Legion Armor.”

Weapons

All the weapons added by the mod have been modified to be comparative to their Requiem counterparts.

Other

I still think there is some additional work to do on this. But I have tested it for a week, no crashes and all applicable NPCs are attired properly. As I continue to play I am sure there will be some additional updates.

INSTALLATION

Install with your favorite Mod Manager into your Skyrim\Data folder. The patch should be installed after Requiem. I recommend the following installation steps

STEP 1: Download the “New Legion” MAIN FILE. Install this file with your Mod Manager of choice.

STEP 2: Download the “New Legion” texture you want. HD or Medium. All my pictures are with the medium texture.

STEP 3: Place the DIS_Heavy_Legion.esp in your load order above Requiem.esp.

STEP 4: Download and install this patch BELOW Requiem.esp. It must be installed below any other Requiem patches that modify weapons, armor, etc. To use a popular patch as an example, this patch should be installed BELOW any patches for the mod Improved closefaced helmets.

EXAMPLE LOAD ORDER

STEP 5: Review your load order in SSEdit and note any conflicts. Move Requiem_New_Legion.esp lower if needed.
