捉迷藏

Hide-and-Seek aims to make playing the game with children in Skyrim much more immersive. Now when you initiate a game of hide-and-seek with a child in the streets, your screen will fade black for 10 seconds while the kid(s) in question run and hide. It's a very simple mod but actually effective and can make things feel a little more fun - well as fun as hide-and-seek can be in Skyrim.

I thought of the mod while testing out my playthrough and thought it might be a nice miniature side project while my other mods are in development. All the mod does is add a line of code to one of the base scripts for games and also the same change to the script relating to the dialogue in Hearthfire so you can have the same effect when playing with your own adopted kids.

Unless another mod makes changes to the same scripts, there shouldn't be any problems.

UPDATE 1.1

The new update now removes the compass marker from all players currently hiding. This means you actually need to find the children in time without the aid of the game, or better yet learn the hiding spots. There are also a couple of tweaks to the dialogue when initiating a conversation about playing a game.

The esp has now been re saved in the 64bit Creation Kit, although this mod should also be backward compatible with the original edition of the game too.
