Far Reach Keep（VR）

安裝

This is a tweak of my personal player home to work in Skyrim VR. I have to say having created the mod five years ago, it is an amazing experience to wander around it in VR, the sense of scale is pretty amazing, and I still really like it as a player home.

Features

Large open three-story interior.

Bailey.

Gatehouse.

Rooftop crafting and garden with magnificent views.

Law friendly in that the architecture and location are not intrusive and fit with the environment.

Trophy Stands for every type of trophy in the game.

Loads of mannequins and weapon displays to show off loot, probably more than you need.

An expansive library for all the books you collect.

Alchemy and Enchanting stations.

Dedicated staff including a bard, stable hands and trainers (WIP).

The Dragownsworn Guards (possibly the central theme of a future quest).

A small stable.

Location, West of Whiterun high on a mountain top, you cant miss it.

This player home does not come loaded with tons of free loot, the chests, manequins, weapon racks and book cases are all pretty much empty and ready to be filled with the players loot.

Installation

I recommend that you use NMM. If you do not have it already, download and install the Mod Manager.

Next,  follow the instructions to install mods in Skyrim VR. This is currently unsupported by Bethesda but the internet has found a way. There are several excellent resources online, but I found this one to be the easiest one to use

Once you have set up NMM to work with Skyrim VR, download and install the mod and enable it in the usual way.

To ensure that the Dragonsworn NPC's at the keep are correctly textured you must copy some files from your Skyrim SE installation to your Skyrim VR installation.

Step 1. Locate the FRK.esp folder in [SteamLibrary]\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom and copy it to [SteamLibrary]\SteamApps\common\SkyrimVR\Data\meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom

Step 2. Locate the FRK.esp folder in [SteamLibrary]\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Textures\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom and copy it to [SteamLibrary]\SteamApps\common\SkyrimVR\Data\textures\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom

Future Updates

If I do not have too many issues with the Creation Kit, I would like to enhance the mod with the following updates.

Expand the number of songs that Maluka the bard will sing for you.

Add some interesting law friendly quests that improve the immersion and historical background …
