Alduin

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Always felt like the vanilla intro was wrong to take place during the day. Between the burning of Helgen and the impromptu execution of Ulfric, the daylight did little to help the mood feel right.

Contents:

This mod only edits two things. The Global value for the Game Hour is set to 22:00 and the MQ101 script for "Unbound" has the Game Hour set likewise. This had to be done to prevent the vanilla script from reverting the time to 7:00, one hour before the default Game Hour of 8:00.

Load Order:

I'd suggest loading this after any mods of the alternate start genre that includes a Helgen choice. Not sure if it would work if loaded before as I don't have a means to test this mod on pc myself. Let me know if it matters.

Notes:

Not an.esl file. I've never made on before but I've been told it can't make changes to Global Values, though it can to scripts. Unsure if the load order mechanics of.esl files would be a problem for Alt Start mods either. If it's functional as an.esl, I'll upload/link anyone's test of it with credit listed.

Wasn't sure if I should bother posting this mod until Undriel talked me into it. I'm not actually looking to get endorsements for this mod, I'd rather see it become well liked anough that it gets added as an option to Alt Start mods out there. I'll also gratefully accept any pretty screenshots from the community of this mod in action so I can see all the nice pc mods out there that make nights look amazing. Any Alduin replacers (ANY) would be very welcome as well.

If you like this enough after testing it out but want to save the modslot, I've included the records of the mod in the screenshots for a simple edit in the CK or Xedit. You could use that for Skyrim LE as well as I don't have the LE CK installed to put the mod up.
