ClearView visual enhancement module

A graphics enhancement mod developed specifically for YAPYAP, designed to remove the game's forced low-resolution pixelation and restore clarity to the image.

Installation method

  • Place the ClearView.dll file into the BepInEx plug-in directory:

\BepInEx\plugins\ClearView.dll

  • Just start the game and the module will be loaded automatically.

Configuration file

The configuration file is located at:

\BepInEx\config\Mhz.clearview.cfg

Configuration options

| Options | Description |

|:---|:---|

| FixResolution | Resolution enhancement master switch. Enabled by default. If turned off, it will completely fall back to the original pixelated rendering mode |

| ResolutionScale | Resolution scaling (0.35 - 1.0). Default 0.625. Only valid when FixResolution is turned on. The larger the value, the clearer it is, but the higher the GPU usage |

| DisableStyleEffects | Picture transparency enhancement switch to remove distortion and noise (VHS, pixelation, beautification filters, etc.) |

| DisableButo | Volumetric fog switch, independently control the scene fog effect |

Core functions

  • Resolution scaling and trade-offs - Players can freely adjust rendering resolution. Please note: 1.0 (native) resolution imposes a high graphics load. It is recommended that players make a trade-off between image quality and smoothness based on graphics card performance to find the balance that best suits them.
  • Bottom-level rendering optimization - adopts a more efficient rendering architecture, completely solving the redundant occupation problem that may exist in the old version, and has better memory bandwidth management than the original version at the same resolution.
  • Transparency Enhancement — Automatically disables post-processing effects that cause distortion, noise, and stylized filters.
  • Independent volumetric fog control - the volumetric fog effect can be turned on and off independently and is not affected by other special effect settings.

Recommended settings

For the clearest visual experience, it is recommended to disable the Screen Post FX option in the in-game Settings -> Display.

ClearView Visual Enhancement Mod

A visual enhancement mod for YAPYAP designed to eliminate forced low-resolution pixelation and restore atmospheric clarity.

Installation

  • Place ClearView.dll in the BepInEx plugins directory:

\BepInEx\plugins\ClearView.dll

  • Launch the game, the mod will load automatically

Configuration

Config file location:

\BepInEx\config\Mhz.clearview.cfg

Configuration Options

| Option | Description |

|:---|:---|

| FixResolution | Main toggle for resolution enhancement. Default is True. If disabled, reverts to vanilla pixelated rendering |

| ResolutionScale | Scale (0.35 - 1.0). Default 0.625. Only active if FixResolution is True. Higher means clearer but uses more GPU |

| DisableStyleEffects | Toggle for Atmospheric Clarity (removes distortion, noise, VHS, etc.) |

| DisableButo | Volumetric fog toggle, independently controls scene fog effects |

Core Features

  • Resolution Scaling & Trade-offs — Freely adjust the rendering scale. Note: 1.0 (Native) resolution causes extremely high GPU load. Players should balance visual quality and performance based on their hardware.
  • Rendering Optimization — Uses an improved architecture to eliminate redundant overhead and manage VRAM bandwidth more efficiently than the original system.
  • Atmospheric Clarity — Automatically disables post-processing effects that cause distortion and noise.
  • Independent Fog Control — Volumetric fog can be toggled independently.

Recommended Settings

For the cleanest visual experience, it is highly recommended to also disable Screen Post FX in the in-game Settings -> Display menu.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
