X2 Sweet Little Mods

This collection of mods addresses some nerfs and unwanted features such as nerfed Kill Zone, Message of the Day, and my2K. It also contains various UI tweaks such as black market minus plus.

warn. Apply using PatcherGUI. You can find it on wghost81's UPKUtils page. Not available for Mod Manager. Mods must be reapplied after every official XCOM 2 update or game cache integrity verification.

These mods do not affect saved games, work immediately (campaigns started) and can be uninstalled at any time.

As long as the resolved parts are not removed or significantly redone, they will work with the game's official updates. For those who are concerned, I will list the compatible XCOM 2 versions next to each mod title. The version can be found in Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\Version.txt, which is the number after the change list.

Black Market Minus Plus (169309 and above)

Swap the plus and minus buttons in the Black Market UI for a more natural feel. It would be nice to have the plus button closer to the number of items for sale.

Hidden Kill Zone (169309 and above)

Did you know this sharpshooter's killing abilities can trigger ambushes while being used by hidden snipers? Well, it can nerf it before patch 1. Now it cannot be used to break the concealment. This mod fights nerfs.

For those who need more time to adjust to not having the ambush mechanic.

It would be better to limit the number of shots to 3-4 and penalize some or all shot targets (rapid fire) when used as part of an ambush, rather than removing the option.

No MOTD (164196 and above)

When the game starts, the day's messages are displayed on the lower left side of the screen. Because some people may not like it, this mod removes this functionality.

Personally, I could ignore it, but it would be cool to see a random game prompt instead of "XCom 2 is here. Enter the battlefield and take back our planet. Good luck, Commander.". Or turn it on/off in game options.

No my2K (164196 and above)

When the game starts, there is the my2K button on the lower right side of the screen. Because some people may not like it, this mod will move this feature off-screen. You can use the arrow keys to access the my2K button and enter. Just press right until no buttons are highlighted and press Enter. in a file

No MOTD and my2K (164196 and above)

No MOTD and no my2K. Zip file contains normal and offline versions.

The offline version automatically turns off any connection status messages (if available) and is primarily intended for people playing the game offline.

Multiplayer compatibility

I'm assuming there isn't or maybe a quick/custom match. Requires testing.

If you wish to play ranked matchmaking, it is recommended that you verify the integrity of your game cache using Steam (Steam, Game Properties, Local Files tab) and disable all mods. Please note that the -allowconsole launch option (Steam, Game Properties, General tab, Set launch options) is not allowed.

Sometimes it is necessary to rename or delete the "Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config" folder to activate the "Ranked Match" button.

Install

• Download and unzip the mod file.
• Download and run PatcherGUI.
• Use the Browse button and set the first path to the XCOM 2 folder. For example S:\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2.
• Use the browse button and set the second path to the txt file of the mod you want to apply.
• Click the "Apply" button and enjoy your ride.

uninstall

• Run PatcherGUI.
• Click the Show Log button.
• Select the mod.
• Click the "Load Uninstaller" button.
• Click the Apply button.
