About this mod Machine translation

This mod rebalances the available weapon modifications to make early game upgrades more feasible and powerful without disrupting the balance later in the game.

Balance early weapon upgrades:

Basic laser sight increased to +10% critical strike.

Advanced Laser Sight increased to +12.5% critical hit (UI only shows 12%)

Base range increased to +10 targets (+15 without cover)

Advanced range increased to +15 targets (+20 without coverage)

Superior range increased to +20 targets (+25 without cover)

Basic hair proc increases to 10% chance Advanced hair proc increases to 12.5% chance (UI only shows 12%)

Basic repeater increased to 10% chance Advanced repeater increased to 12.5% chance (UI only shows 12%)

Also added are Prototype Weapon Upgrades, a new tier that is rare but powerful. They have the same stat changes as the advanced upgrades, but add new abilities to the soldier wielding them.

Prototype Laser Sight - Grants the ability to target, adding 15 points of aim to all allies who shoot the target.

Prototype Range - Grants headshot ability, guaranteed critical hit.

Prototype Hair Trigger - Grants rapid fire ability.

Archetypal Stock - Grants the ability to be eternally vigilant.

Prototype Expanded Mag - Grants the bullet the hail ability.

Prototype Autoloader - unlimited free reloading.

Prototype Repeater - Grants Chain Shot.

Notice:

This mod is under constant development. Some abilities/stats may be changed as needed.

This mod is not trying to make the game "easier", but rather to improve the feasibility of early game upgrades, increase the variety of upgrades, and provide rare but meaningful late game options in the form of "prototype" upgrades.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
