About this mod Machine translation
Speed up your game by eliminating pointless pauses and other wasted time.
All changes are purely cosmetic.
Combat changes:
Removed 1-3 second pause after shooting, grenade throwing, skills, etc.
Pause for 1 second after killing
Pause for 2.75 seconds after entering the cover
Rejuvenate corpses by 80%, reduce suspended chryssalids
Removed Insurmountable Bradford dub:
1, 3 and 6 round remaining warnings
civilian death warning
Reduced exposed enemy movie time
new! Gremlin moves 150% faster
Unit movement speed increased by approximately 10% (reduced by popular demand - can be reduced back to normal under Options -> Gameplay -> Unit movement speed)
Removed 33% of the slowdown for unattacked enemies during over-slowing (attacked enemies are unaffected)
Non-combat changes:
Increased Avengers speed on the global map
Reduced the hideously slow color picker fade-in time
I highly recommend subscribing to IphStich’s Instant Avenger Menus mod:
There is no transition between Avengers rooms
No Hologlobe disband animation
Faster avatar project updates
Suspended I found but cannot delete for technical reasons
(They are hardcoded in the code and cannot be overridden or massively break compatibility with other mods):
Units pause for 3 seconds after panicking
Pause for 1 second at the end of each round
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
