About this mod Machine translation

SHODAN (Sentient Super Optimized Data Access Network) XCOM 2 voice package.

SHODAN (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network) is a rogue AI that has recently returned from deep space to discover that the Earth she wanted to conquer has been claimed by another, more powerful force. So she enlists the help of XCOM radicals to rid the planet of alien species.

190 sound cues from Immortal System Shock 2, as well as a few from its predecessor.

Original voice sung by Terry Brosius!

Making this pack was a real trip down memory lane as I used the same samples to make a Shodan voicepack for Unreal Tournament waaaaay back in the early 2000s. This is my first voice mode for XCom 2, but it won't be my last :) There are more ways to do it.

Using SPARKS:

To make this voice package accessible to SPARK, just add the following line:

+ BodyPartTemplateConfig =(PartType =“Voice”,Language =“English”,Gender = eGender_None,TemplateName =“FemaleVoice1_SHO”,

ArchetypeName =“ShodanVP_Package.ShodanVP_Arch “)

to the XComContent.ini file in the Config folder of this mod

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
