About this mod Machine translation
This mod provides any GREMLIN user with reconnaissance protocol capabilities. It sends GREMLIN to a specific area and then backwards, displaying a fog of war and enemy locations until the end of your turn.
TACTICAL INFORMATION
Reconnaissance Protocol is an additional capability available to any GREMLIN-equipped soldier.
Reconnaissance protocols do not in any other way undermine concealment or alert the enemy.
Unlike the scanning protocol, the recon protocol does not reveal hidden faceless or burrowing Chryssalids.
The purpose of the Scouting Protocol is to provide safe scouting early in the game without having to rely on concealment.
Similar to XCOM Operators, GREMLIN's vision will not go through a strict cover.
Reconnaissance protocols do not provide direct hits.

#CONFIGURATION
By default, the reconnaissance protocol:
Spend an action.
There is no cooldown time.
There are unlimited fees.
It won't end.
All of this, as well as the ability cast range and display radius can be configured in "Config\XComScoutingProtocolWOTC.ini".
For example, you could make Scouting Protocol a free action but give it a 1-2 cooldown. Or just give yourself some fees per mission.
Giving Recon Protocol a huge display radius doesn't really work since the overlay blocks vision.

948404336 The Scouting Protocol is just an add-on feature to GREMLIN, so it should be compatible with anything that doesn't replace the default GREMLIN name.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
