About this mod Machine translation
Adding new staffing to some of your facilities allows scientists to trade in research time.
I created this mod because I felt XCOM's scientists were generally underutilized - your only option to staff them in the base game was to assign them to a lab. The purpose of this mode is to give players more options for how to use their scientists. There are several powerful effects at the expense of research time.
This mod adds facility locations for which scientists can provide additional bonuses. Please note that assigning scientists to any position outside of the laboratory will cease their contribution to research.
Current additions -
Proving Ground - If a project is completed while a scientist is assigned, all future projects of that type will be completed immediately.
Resistive communication - increases scan speed by 25% - configurable via .ini.
Workshop - Create drones that can provide technical support to scientists.
I know there are some UI bugs - these may be fixed in the future.
This mod currently has limited functionality in existing saved games - there are no scientist slots for any facilities that have been built. Rebuilding them will solve the problem.
This mod overrides the following classes. It will be incompatible with any mod that overrides these.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
