About this mod Machine translation
ReShade preset removes too much blue and red blur, cartoony colors; adds more contrast, sharpness.
Main goals:
This preset removes excess blue and red blur, increases contrast, sharpness, makes shadows darker and colors less cartoony, saturation and brightness; slightly changes the gamma settings. All adjustments give the impression that you are using texture mode. In any case, it's best to see the differences in screenshots and video comparisons.
Update (April 16, 2017) Real Vision ReShade No Red.ini (ReShade 3.0xxx only)
This version creates and removes the red and yellow tones as requested, although I was able to do this without distorting the other colors. All .ini files are now packaged in one archive to make your selection easier. It contains:
-Real_Vision_ReShade v.1.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_ Light.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_NoRed.ini (NEW)
-Real_Vision_ReShade_Cinematic.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_Extreme_Sharpness.ini (removed from MISCELLANEOUS section)
-Real_Vision_ReShade_Grafics_Enhancement.ini
and reshade-shaders folder.
To install, check out the 23/01/2017 update instructions.
If your game crashes on startup, rename dxgi.dll (which appears in the folder where xcom2.exe is after installing Reshade) to d3d11.dll

Update (23/01/2017) Real Vision ReShade ini-pack (ReShade 3.0xxx only)
Using ReShade 3.0 will allow you to view all versions and choose what you want in the game.
There's no need to close the game and reinstall another version - with just a few clicks you'll see the difference from one version to the next.
This ini-pack can only be used with ReShade 3.0xxx
If you used any previous ReShade, you must delete it.
The archive contains four major version ini. files:
-Real_Vision_ReShade v.1.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_ Light.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_Cinematic.ini
-Real_Vision_ReShade_Grafics_Enhancement.ini
and reshade-shaders folder.
How to install:
- Download the latest ReShade 3.0xxx from the home page
- Install by selecting the game's executable file and selecting Direct3D 10+ API
(Make sure to click "Yes" when ReShade 3.X asks you if it should download the "Standard Effects Collection.")
- Paste all the files in the archive where xcom2.exe is located and overwrite it.
- Start the game
- Press SHIFT + F2 to open the ReShade menu
- Follow the tutorial and read it carefully
- Open the "Home" tab and at the top you will see the path where the ini is placed. document

Updated (4, 2016
2nd): Real Vision ReShade Cinematic V1.6 (only works with ReShade 2.0) Recently, a friend of mine joked that "the guys in these colorful armors look like a bunch of snowboarders or ski jumpers who are taking a break for the weekend (only missing boards and skis instead of weapons), but not like those who are ready to fight or die. And some shady place like an amusement park with bright banners and lots of colorful light fixtures."
change:
So this preset is a mix of my previous version with the addition of the FilmicPass shader, which allows to make the colors slightly faded (without disappearing, like a "monochrome" effect), the contrast is lower, and the picture becomes more "light" and "filmy".
Why do I recommend trying Reshade 2.0? I think the new ReShade 2.0 Assistant is the easiest way to make your own presets and changes in any game.
Before installation:
important!!!
If using previous ReShade 1.1.0, you must delete (backup) these files from <...>\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
