Update: September 12th Rebalanced, tweaked, modified skill trees, and access to certain skins for those who own the DLC. To change these skins (this will change the skins of all aliens recruited by Xcom. For example, if you want the Berserker Queen skin (assuming you have the DLC), every Berserker you make will look like one), go to the XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini file and change the Body settings to whichever skin you want. (May need better Arrival/Alien Pack/DLC)
New Berkserker and Andromedon balances and abilities!
Reorganization of the Archon tree
Variations on the research mission: it costs resources and has a chance to be given to a random alien based on a percentage. 1-2% saves you a Sectopod!
If I forget something, I'm sure the dreamer will slam me and remind me. Oh yes, thank you Dreamers for everything!
Update: August 12th. Three aliens are added, the Sectoid, the Sectopod and everyone's favorite metal ball necromancer, the Gatekeeper! Note that Sectopod and its fellow Keepers cannot be rebuilt after being killed. This is for balancing purposes. Sectopod has an unanimated TV jump action that places it on top of things making it easier/possible to extract. Thanks again @Dreamer. Second disclaimer: most of these new alien units do not have hands or hacking devices. It is not advisable to kill someone. Remember to bring a spark or a human to always get the job done right. Only some of the aliens in our lineup can interact with the device, and even then, only rarely. (Shen's dlc is just an example). Some additional balancing has been added, but not fully tested yet. All of this will be reviewed later. Example: The Berserker's Firebreath is no longer useless.
Update 7/9: Bug fixes, Viper's layered rifle with working firing animations for those who want to start a new game! Disclaimer: There are no fixes for Elevator Shen Dlc bugs yet. We are looking into it, but so far, no solution has been found.
Also; Archon! (This requires a new game if you want to try Archon. Every time we add a new alien, this will be the case for most unless a fix is found.)
Other updates include fixes for spitting and tongue/grab movement. Thanks @The Dreamer.
In this update, to make some of the weaker aliens later in the game more viable, the armor restriction was removed so they can use normal layered human armor. I'll update later if I can remember what else @TheDreamer pulled out of his coding hat.
Updated June 15th (again). Thanks @The Dreamer. He pulled another rabbit out of his hat. You should now be able to load the save correctly.
Update June 15: When we uploaded the file, it was fixed. Once it gets to the steam shop, the problem returns. We are currently working on resolving this issue. No eta yet. Sorry, guys.
Update June 13: Name change! Thanks @The Dreamer (Koopa). All fixes, updates and additions. Additions include new tiered rifles for the Vipers! NOTE: To address many issues in this update, we are unable to support alien slicing (as this causes some issues). However, most of the annoying graphical issues in the game are as annoying as your alien head. Also note that we are sti …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
