This mod will add three new submachine gun-style weapons, one for each of the three weapon technology levels (ballistic, magnetic, plasma).
They provide additional mobility, concealment, and close-range accuracy at a penalty to damage and long-range accuracy relative to assault rifles.
They can be equipped with any XCOM device that can equip an assault rifle.

v2 update(3 /
14/2016) - Fixed an issue caused by the 3/10 major game patch that prevented SMG from upgrading normally
- Fixed issue where upgrading directly from regular to beam SMG caused you to lose weapon add-ons
- Improved textures
v3 update (3/29/2016)
- Fixed v2 issue where upgrading an SMG while a soldier equipped one would leave a cloaked SMG on that soldier, providing unexpected movement bonuses and extra icons in the Tactical UI. This may not fix soldiers getting cloaked SMGs.
v4 update (May 12, 2016)
- Fixed an issue caused by the 5/12 main game patch which only gave you 1 SMG at the start of the event
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
