About this mod Machine translation
Allows the user to import the appearance of soldiers from the character pool.
Don't you hate how in the base game it has no control over which characters in the game pool? You can choose how you want them to spawn, but you have no control over actually forcing any characters into the game. If you're like me, you love making custom characters that you want to use in multiple games. Using this mode, you can accept any soldier in your team and "paste" the appearance of a character in the pool. This way you can quickly determine if your favorite characters are in the game instead of waiting for them to spawn.
How to use it:
Limitations/What it won't do (intentionally):
- Don't copy weapon customization (if I were to copy it, it would replace your gun, I'm working on how to do this better)
-Won't apply the nickname if the unit is not a veteran (but it will copy the attitude) -
Don't copy classes, so if you're picky you need to apply it to the correct class unit who is the ranger and who is the sharpshooter.
Update Notes (v1.1_02 - February 2, 2016) - Added
for multiplayer games
Update Notes (v1.1 - 2/11/2016) support -
Move the import button down into the information customization options (scroll down and look for "Load Persona" under Gender)
- Creatures are now copied so you don't have to rewrite it every time.
- The color of the weapon will be copied from the pool (but still not the mode). XCOM 2 has a very roundabout way of applying weapon customization options, and I haven't quite figured them out yet. Hopefully in the next patch I'll have code to replicate the colors and patterns.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
