About this mod Machine translation

Now you can determine if your favorite sniper really missed it!

FAQ

Q: Why can't I see the stats panel during combat?

A: The stats panel only shows the shot's hit rate when you hover your mouse over it. You can make it always appear by editing the INI file.

Q: Why "But maybe..." in the shooting window? Will this change my chances of hitting?

A: This is a fun way to imagine how lucky this soldier was. This is a visual change only and does not affect the actual dice roll. You can disable it via INI file.

Q: Why doesn't my armory stats panel line up correctly like in your screenshot?

A: Known bug for non-16:9 resolutions. I'm working on it, but in the meantime you can offset the window to the right or down by editing the INI file. Suggested panel XOffest=320 means 21:9 (thanks Dem0nK!)

Q: Can I change what is shown in the Tactics/Arsenal stats panel?

A: Yes! You can change which statistics are displayed and the order of the two panels in INI

Q: Where is this magic INI file you're talking about so I can edit all this content?

Answer: steamapps\workshop\content\268500\634754304\Config\LifetimeStats.ini

Q: What is Lucky% and how do you calculate it?

Answer: This is how often soldiers beat RNG. See the full algorithm below for an example.

Version 1.2.2

March 21

Update Russian and KFixed bug causing camera to reset whenever soldier reaches destination from normal movement (1.2.2)

Updated Polish localization

-------------

Updated Korean localization (1.2.1)

-------------

Fixed a bug that prevented statistics from being saved during save. Unfortunately, the statistics were not tracked correctly between v1.0.0 and now and are lost. I apologize for the inconvenience. (1.2.0)

Current functionality

Tracking data: (what is displayed via INI can be configured)

Kills - every soldier kill (not part of the mod, already tracked by the base game)

Shooting - Each shot is fired by a soldier

Hit/miss - whether hitting or being hit

Hit/Miss Streaks- This soldier’s current and best hits and miss streaks

Critical Damage – How many shots does a critical hit have?

Average Field Goal Percentage % - The average field goal percentage for all shots taken

Average Critical Hit % - Average critical hit chance for all shots

Luck - Luck is calculated by comparing hit rate to average hit rate, see below

Tiles Moved - The total number of tiles moved by the soldier

Executions - Number of forwarder executions

Damage - The amount of damage caused

Damage Taken - Amount of damage taken

Damage Negation - Amount of damage taken from armor

Absorbed Damage - Amount of damage blocked by armor

Tactical Lifetime Stats hover tooltip (or permanent panel via INI adjustment)

A new panel has been added to the Tactical Combat mission that displays all tracking data by hovering over shots currently hitting %.

Luck modifies ToHit% (can be disabled in INI)

A new Hit % will now be displayed next to the existing hit rate for all shots, showing this special soldier's hit rate based on actual hit chance and luck.

Armory Stats Screen Armory

A new window on the soldier screen shows the currently selected soldier

Statistics for calculated values

Due to popular demand, here is the algorithm I use to calculate luck and 'but maybe...'

Luck = Hits/(AverageHit%*Shots) - 1

If this value is less than zero, I display it as positive but "unfortunately"

Example: AvgHit%=80, Hits=10, Shots=10

Luck = 10 / (10 * 0.80) = 1.25 - 1 = 0.25 or 25% lucky

"But maybe..." = hit %* (luck + 1)

Example: Hit % = 70%, Luck = 25%

'But maybe...' = 70 * 1.25 = 87.5

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
