About this mod Machine translation
This voice acting pack adds a total of 20 Japanese voices from Valkyria Chronicles 1 to XCOM 2, available for character customization and character pool.
Content introduction:
This sound pack adds sounds from Valkyria Chronicles 1 to XCOM 2, available for character customization and character pool.
Many people should know that XCOM 2 lacks Japanese voices.
So I decided to create one myself and it works better than the sounds of another great tactics game.
Using my basic Moonspeak skills, I tried to match the phrases they said to the actions they were assigned,
But there might be an odd phrase that doesn't quite fit.
For example, they sometimes refer to the commander as the protagonist (Welkin), or summon different characters from the game.
Let's just say they're a bit level-headed, like Gus from Jagged Alliance 2, and it still works for those rare occasions.
If you speak Japanese and notice something cornered, please let me know and I'll try to change/remove it.
Now, I listened to all the sounds and chose the ones that would work best with the other XCOM sounds,
So there are no high-pitched anime sounds.
I also made two different voice packs:
-a The main mods and sounds are suitable for the best and
-a B-roll with the voices still being pretty good by me, but might be considered too anime by some.
I also added an audio filter to make the sound sound like radio.
*****Disclaimer*****
I made this mod for myself so everything about it suits my personal taste.
If some of your favorite characters are not included in the voice pack,
I'm sorry I won't (probably) add them in the future.
Update: I've added some key notes to help you find other voices if you want to make voice packs or other evil stuff with them ^^

- Copy the files to the MODS folder
- Run the game
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
