About this mod Machine translation
Deadpool Voicepack for XCOM2 Soldiers
Tired of having the exact same sound with soldiers using the same lines, with only slight tonal differences? Do you like your soldiers to be more personalized, do you want them to have actual personalities? Are you a Deadpool fan? If you answered yes to these questions, then this plugin is for you.
Current version: 1.1 (may be updated if bugfixes are available)
Please report any issues/bugs/glitches and suggestions regarding the voice pack so I can make it better.
If you find any lines that are too quiet/broken/out of place, please report them here so I can fix them for future releases.
This mod uses references from the Deadpool video game. All voices belong to High Moon Studios and Nolan North (voice actor).
troubleshooting:
- If you want to disable the voice pack that appears on random newbies, open this mod's XCOMContent.ini (in the mod folder) and change the language to anything except English or something else (UNTESTED, confirmation required)
- Regarding the lack of radio filter - some people prefer it, some don't (including me, even though I'm in the minority). I'm going to prepare a version with a radio filter and I'm going to finish converting all the old stuff from XCOM:EU to XCOM2. I will most likely ask to download a separate package and replace the original package with it.
- If the game crashes using the preview button (in the armory) then most likely you are using an expired version (release version) of the game and you need to download all available hotfixes/patches
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
