Changed ability icon color to reflect its action point cost
If you sometimes forget to use single AP features like assist protocol, quick draw or reload before shooting, then this mod is for you.
It changes the default ability icon color to reflect its action point cost, so you can see at a glance which actions will end your turn and which actions will end your turn.
Green = free action
Blue = Using the ability does not end the unit's turn (just like "Blue Move")
Yellow = Using an ability will end the unit's rotation (e.g. "Yellow Move")
If you have problems distinguishing colors, you can change them in config/XComCostBasedAbilityColors.ini
People with red-green color blindness seem to have problems distinguishing green and yellow, so you can set the free action color to white by changing AbilityCostColor_FreeAction="ffffff".
Confirmed compatibility:
Day of Action After Injury, Always Show Lens Glitch, Evac All, Gotcha, Over 15 Ability Icons, Digital Health Display, Perfect Messages, Quiet Bradford, Show Mission Planning Enemies, ShowMeThePersonel, ShowMeTheSkills, Stop Wasting My Time, Tech Tree
Incompatible MODS:
Free refresh (actually this mod is not necessary now, because my MOD contains the same functionality, see screenshot)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
