About this mod Machine translation

This mod allows you to combine any armor piece in the game, including civilian clothing. These parts are only available in the soldier customization screen, so the soldier will never start in these. This mod doesn't add any armor pieces, but there are plenty of other mods that do that.

Update March 20: Re-added "invisible" armor pieces

Update March 17th: The Firaxis patch fatally broke this mod, but I've fixed the issue.

warn:

*General warning about mods: Saving games with this mod will fail if the mod is uninstalled.

*For some torsos, selecting specific arms and legs may cause the soldier's arms and legs to become invisible. If you find this, select the last selected Arms and Legs option in the options list. These allow the torso to provide its own arms and legs.

*In the vanilla game, you can customize your soldiers in the character pool with veteran options. All of these options are lost when Soldier appears as a rookie. Therefore, this mod will not take effect in the character pool; it will only take effect in the armory.

*The armor is non-stick. When you gain a new armor tech, the armor will be reset to the armor tech.

*The torso, arm and leg selection lists only show numbers, just like in the vanilla game. There are more options, so the numbers are bigger.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
