Added laser weapons as a secondary level to secondary magnetic weapons. As in long wars, laser weapons are more accurate and cheaper than magnetic weapons, at the expense of less power and smaller size.
Laser weapons can be unlocked by researching 3 technologies:
Laser Weapons (Assault Rifles and Pistols) - Unlocked after researching Modular Weapons
Heavy Laser (Cannon) - Researching Laser Weapons
Unlocked after Precision Lasers (Shotguns and Sniper Rifles) - Unlocked after researching Laser Weapons
Weapon statistics can be configured in the configuration as follows:
Laser Rifle - 4-6 base damage, +2 crit, 3 clips, 2 weapon models, +6 targets
Laser Shotgun - 5-7 base damage, +2 crit, 2 clips, 2 weapon models, +6 targets, +10 crit chance
Laser Cannon - 5-7 base damage, +2 crit, 2 clips, 2 weapon models, +6 targets
Laser Rifle - 5-7 base damage, +2 crit, 2 clips, 2 weapon models, +6 targets
Laser Pistol - 3 base damage, +2 crit, no clip, no mods, +6 target
Laser SMG - 3-5 base damage, +2 crit, 2 clips, 2 weapon mods, +6 targets
Additionally, all laser weapons require less range penalty.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
