About this mod Machine translation
Get your newbies up to speed quickly with your main lineup through higher-level training at Guerilla Training School.
Advanced training regimen mod allows your new players to quickly catch up with your main team.
This module adds a series of items to the Guerrilla Training School, unlocked based on your highest soldier level. Each item adds a level to your soldier training through the school's normal welding slot.
The goal is to make XCOM more durable, allowing you to lose more soldiers without feeling like the entire game is lost because of it; after all, XCOM is a meat grinder to begin with. Keep in mind that this mod will slightly reduce the difficulty of the game, so in order to preserve the curve, you may want to download the increasing difficulty mod or two.
In order to change the training functionality of the school, this mod currently takes precedence over the operation of the headquarters and may not be compatible with other mods that want to do this. I'm currently looking for a better way to handle this.
If you choose, you can change the cost of GTS items, define how far behind newly trained novices are to fall behind team members, and add a will penalty for such novices by editing the INI file.
This mod now overrides the XComGameStateContext_HeadquartersOrder file and is almost certainly incompatible with any other mods.
TODO:
- Improve interoperability with other mods.
- Improved quality of level badge images.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
